Job Description

Iqarus require a Screening Technician to support our Clinic, working within our Occupational Health function, based at Forest Grove House in Aberdeen, UK.  This is a key role in providing the service delivery of routine tests conducted for OH Medicals. Occupational Health Technicians work as part of a team with medical colleagues. This is a physically demanding role within a fast paced medical environment.

  • Measuring and recording the following data; height, weight, BMI, peak flow, pulse and blood pressure, taking of bloods, vision screening, urinalysis, electrocardiography, spirometry, audiometry, drug testing, alcohol breath tests, chester step test and fitness assessment.

  • Liaise with medical and administrative staff on matters of mutual relevance in performance of professional duties.

  • Ensure your medical room is stocked with the required consumables

  • Responsible for opening and closing the clinic on a rotational basis, carrying out required calibrations and checks.

  • Assist in administrative duties associated with patient care.

  • Process consumables deliveries that have been received

  • To be aware and act in accordance with company policies and procedures, relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards, including data protection and confidentiality.

  • Attend client premises and installations offsite as required.

Additional Information

This post is predominantly onsite within the clinics, however there is a requirement for some flexibility for offsite work at times.
