Job Description

The EMT is responsible to respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and transport the patient to the medical facility. The EMR will be required to undertake patient assessments, burn management, CPR and extrication of patients from dangerous situations. The EMT will additionally transport patients in the event of STRATAIRMEDEVAC and to other facilities where required. 

Qualifications

 

Successful completion of Basic/ Intermediate/Paramedic course. Evidence of registration to the National Registry for Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), or equivalent 

AND/OR

Completion of Paramedic Science course ((DipHE) or degree in paramedic science or paramedic practice) and evidence of registration to The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Paramedic,) or equivalent.

Rotation: 5 weeks oniste/ 5 weeks offsite
