Job Description

Invinity is seeking a Director of Products to define the future for Invinity’s products as they become a global standard for durable, safe and economic energy storage solutions. In this role, you will focus and organize Invinity’s product strategy and vision, collaborating with our experts in energy storage and vanadium flow battery technology.

To succeed in this role, you bring a broad understanding of the demands of the global energy storage market, including regulatory and compliance requirements today and tomorrow. You can explain the difference between UL 1973, UL 9540, and UL 9540a, address technical requirements with design engineers, and discuss market dynamics with the sales team. You want to be at the intersection of renewable energy, product development, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to refine and communicate Invinity’s product vision and roadmap.

  • Coordinate with Invinity’s technical and operations teams to schedule and track the development of product capabilities, iterate on product roadmaps, and align delivery of capabilities with product releases.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to communicate product capabilities, engaging with external partners or customers when needed.

  • Lead Invinity’s product compliance and certification efforts, working closely with testing and regulatory bodies and translating that work into technical requirements.

  • Create and maintain product certification plans and schedules, working with system and component design teams.

  • Own and maintain product documentation.

  • Support Invinity’s product development process by providing oversite, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring organization alignment.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of renewable energy markets, systems, and the role of energy storage.

  • At least 5 years’ working in product or technical management role, responsible for

    launching products starting from a concept.

  • Enjoys working with broad and collaborative technical teams.

  • Strong written and communication skills and proven track of on-time delivery.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

  • Desire to travel internationally and interact directly with customers, even providing hands-on support when needed.

  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations applicable to energy storage.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of flow batteries.
