Job Description

The Radiology Supervisor is responsible for the leadership and management of Radiology/CT staff in concurrence with the Program Director and Hospital Partner to provide patients with great customer service through sound clinical practices and efficient operations. As a leader, the Radiology/CT supervisor is expected to provide an environment that encourages teamwork, continuous improvement, and is patient-centric.

• In Partnership with Program Director, maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Maintains HFAP guidelines and ACR guidelines.

• In Partnership with Program Director, overall supervisory responsibility for the Radiology & CT staff at all Intuitive Health/ HOSPITAL PARTNER ER and Urgent Care facilities.

• Oversees daily activities of the radiology staff to optimize productivity and census manages when appropriate.

• Responsible for hiring, training, performance reviews, and termination of the radiology staff in conjunction with Sr. Leadership.

• Maintain Radiology staff schedule, ensuring all positions are covered.

• Ensure that all radiology staff conducts all radiology studies in accordance with the law and company policy.

• Ensures the delivery of quality service in area of operations. Acts as an educational resource and is available for consultation to medical, nursing and administrative staff.

• Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as required or directed

• Establishes and maintains communications within the department and with other hospital departments.

• Review and uphold lab policies and procedures.

• Maintain and develop radiology policies and procedures with input from ownership and upper Leadership. Participate in monthly governing board and quarterly quality assurance meetings.

Qualifications

• A graduate accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

• Current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) required.

• Must have adequate CT experience and proven competence.

• CPR Certification required.•

Use of medical and radiologic terminology.

• A graduate school accredited for Radiologic Technology.

• Ability to effectively interact with customers to understand their needs and explain data

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone with members, employer groups, brokers, physicians, and physician office staff using strong dialogue and customer service competencies.

• Written communication

• One to three years of experience in Radiology Supervision/Lead, preferred

• Exceptional communication skills and leadership skills are required.

• Solid work history.

• This job operates in a healthcare setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position would require moderate noise from phones, computers, printers, and medical equipment. This position requires intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching, as well as lifting and supporting patients.

• This job operates in a healthcare setting. CT Technologists must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as radiation, noise, infectious/communicable diseases, blood and blood-borne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases, and dusts.
