Job Description

Position overview:

The Senior Group Manager – Product Marketing will lead Intuitive India's Product Marketing vertical, spanning our Robotic-Assisted Surgery (RAS) platforms and our expanding Digital Solutions portfolio. This is a high-visibility, mission-critical leadership role at the intersection of customer insight, commercial strategy, and stakeholder influence.

As a core member of the Marketing Leadership team, this individual will define portfolio strategy, lead go-to-market execution, and drive adoption and value validation for our growing product suite — including the imminent launches of our latest and most advanced robotic surgery platforms such as the da Vinci 5 and da Vinci Single Port in India.

Working closely with global, regional, and country teams, the Senior Group Manager will shape the commercial and clinical narrative for robotic-assisted surgery in India, building a legacy of meaningful impact on how care is delivered to patients across the country.

This is an ideal opportunity for a marketing leader who wants to build and influence at a national level — someone energised by complex problem-solving, cross-functional leadership, and creating lasting clinical and economic impact in healthcare.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy & Go-to-Market

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for the da Vinci platform and digital portfolio in alignment with company priorities and commercial objectives.
  • Define Intuitive India's portfolio positioning and manage the full product lifecycle — from launch readiness and adoption to utilisation and value validation.
  • Lead market segmentation, competitive landscape analysis, and deep customer discovery to identify growth opportunities and inform commercial strategy.
  • Drive go-to-market planning for new product introductions, including the da Vinci 5 and SP launches, ensuring seamless coordination across commercial, clinical, and training functions.

Customer & KOL Engagement

  • Build and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), surgical societies, and strategic hospital accounts to drive clinical advocacy and gather market insights.
  • Serve as a visible marketing leader at national conferences, surgical symposia, live procedure broadcasts, and key industry events.
  • Translate clinical and economic evidence into compelling value propositions and messaging that resonate across surgeon, hospital, and administrative stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Lead and develop a team of marketing professionals, setting a high bar for strategic thinking, commercial execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Build a team culture grounded in data-driven decision-making, thought leadership, and a strong bias for action.
  • Mentor and grow team members, creating clear development pathways and a shared sense of mission.

Commercial Excellence & Analytics

  • Establish a discipline of measuring the impact and return on all marketing investments, with structured KPIs and performance reporting to leadership.
  • Leverage data and market analytics to surface actionable insights, refine strategy, and communicate results through compelling executive-level storytelling.
  • Manage marketing budgets with rigour, ensuring resource allocation is tied to commercial priorities and measurable outcomes.

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

  • Partner with sales, clinical affairs, regulatory, public affairs, and global marketing teams to drive product innovation, compliance, and market readiness.
  • Collaborate with Intuitive's Asia regional and global corporate teams to adapt and localise marketing strategies for the Indian market context.
  • Proactively identify new partnerships and opportunities to expand Intuitive's reach, ecosystem value, and market presence in India.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in the medical device industry, with a strong foundation across sales and/or marketing functions.
  • 6+ years in product marketing, with demonstrated success leading go-to-market strategy and execution in a complex, matrix organisation.
  • Proven team leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing marketing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, executive-level presentation, and storytelling skills — particularly the ability to translate complex data into strategic narratives.
  • Strong analytical capability; comfortable working with market datasets, commercial dashboards, and evidence-based insights to drive decisions.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with senior clinicians, surgical KOLs, and hospital leadership.
  • High learning agility and comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong project management capability with the ability to manage budgets, align cross-functional stakeholders, and execute at speed.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including domestic and international travel.

Preferred

  • Experience working in or closely with surgical environments, operating theatres, or with OR-level stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with digital health solutions, software-as-a-service (SaaS), or healthcare IT marketing.
  • MBA from a leading institution.
  • Prior experience working with or within global or Asia-regional commercial teams.
