Job Description

As a member of the Marketing Leadership team, the successful candidate will work closely with European clinical, hospital, digital marketing and global product management teams to refine and pull through product & digital portfolio comprehensive messaging and go to market strategies of Intuitive’s ecosystem for the European region.

The Portfolio Marketing leader for the European region will coach and develop a team of marketers to build out regional marketing capabilities for multifaceted portfolio of systems, advanced technology and digital solutions for various healthcare audiences and develop integrated marketing plans and campaigns that drive awareness and adoption of the Intuitive portfolio. The Regional Portfolio Marketing Leader should be adept at leadership talent development, organizational design, creating in-country portfolio solutions and strategies, aligning cross-functional teams to attain target revenue goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Regionalize compelling product portfolio and digital messaging, content, and commercial assets to be used downstream across multiple regional marketing channels to achieve revenue and product adoption goals.
  • Partner with sales leadership, Clinical Marketing, and Business Units to develop, lead, and oversee the implementation of key programs, and support to drive technology adoption of da Vinci advanced technologies across surgical specialties.
  • Lead and manage the regional product launch excellence process in alignment with the European commercial organization and global Product Management teams. Ensure consistent, authentic, product positioning, value messaging, clinical integration, and in-country execution.
  • Develop and scale regional value-based sales tools to help drive adoption and highlight the value of Intuitive products and services to surgeon and hospital stakeholders.
  • Serve as European Product Portfolio led to share and scale best practice and collateral globally.
  • Collaborate with Product & Digital Management and manage providing feedback and claim gaps based on customer feedback.
  • Lead and communicate cross functionally regional opportunities within the marketplace so the sales, marketing, service, healthcare economics, market access, custom analytics, professional education, and other teams continue to build solutions and messaging that customer will value in market.
  • Collect and consolidate customer feedback through tradeshow support, direct customer interviews, focus groups, and KOL case observations to share as relevant across Europe, with BU leaders, and regional marketing (US and APAC) team counterparts.
  • Direct team to refine and iterate regional portfolio messaging based on feedback from customers and commercial team members.
  • Develop in-region business justification for new products or 3rd party partnerships in Europe and align with Business Units to prioritize.
  • Partner with European Commercial Learning to ensure and improve sales competency in selling the value of the Intuitive portfolio and ensure alignment of sales training with regional business priorities and objectives during CAST, RCPs, and Annual Commercial Meetings
  • Ability to develop a talented, results-driven team managing a diverse portfolio of product and service offerings and customer solutions.
  • Develop the strategy and execution plan to communicate the value proposition of the product and digital portfolio to the commercial teams to help localize the marketing assets and tools that support the selling process.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitive, emerging and complementary technologies and their messaging/positioning in relation to Intuitive’s Ecosystem. Drive the engagement with the Product Management leaders to establish continuous feedback loop.

Qualifications

 

  • 15+ years of well-rounded marketing experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with a focus on market expansion and identifying emerging market trends.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, or related discipline required with a history of defining and launching successful products and programs in a therapeutic medical device company. Surgical and/or OR experience desired
  • 5+ years of successful management and talent development experience
  • Experience in developing strong commercial and KOL partnerships to inform a value-driven portfolio narrative.
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities to deliver high-impact marketing programs on-time and within budget to support overall marketing strategy and business objectives.
  • Superior English verbal/written communication, fluent in French and/or German a strong plus
  • Proven, commercial leadership experience within matrixed technology and/or medical device or healthcare companies.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with deep business acumen with proven ability to inspire and build effective relationships with C-suite, peers, and to attract and retain a marketing team that will motivate people to produce their best work.
  • Strong data-driven leader with deep expertise in reporting, project management, performance analysis, and prioritization skills.
  • BS/BA Degree Required, master’s preferred.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
