Job Description
Primary Function
This role is central to Intuitive’ s ability to scale its Commercial organization globally. By building a high-performing enablement ecosystem, the VP ensures that every commercial professional from new hires to senior leaders is equipped to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers and drive sustained growth.
Roles and Responsabilities
- Define and lead a global commercial enablement vision and multi-year strategy aligned to Commercial growth priorities, helping scale the global organization
- Translate business strategy into scalable enablement programs that drive: Revenue growth, Productivity improvement, and broad organizational development and capability across roles and regions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Commercial executives, shaping go-to-market effectiveness and execution
- Own and evolve a comprehensive sales training strategy across all commercial sales and marketing roles
- Learning content: evolve our learning content processes, team, and approach to ensure the right content is being created and scaled in less time
- Oversee flagship programs (e.g., CAST, FSOC, TSOC, LEP, MDP, etc.) to ensure consistent, high-bar certification standards globally
- Drive innovation in learning delivery to scale and reduce time to learner competency (virtual reality / digital, in-field, simulation-based learning)
- Ensure rapid integration of new product / procedure launches, market expansions (e.g., ION, emerging platforms), and the latest customer value messaging
- Scale commercial leadership development & fundamentals, aligned to commercial objectives and Intuitive Leadership Expectations
- Act as a senior partner across: Global Commercial Leadership (Sales, ION, Capital Services), Marketing and Product organizations, Clinical and Professional Education teams, and HR (Leadership Development, Talent, Workforce Strategy, Succession)
- Establish a global content strategy and governance model with FSC: Sales playbooks, Clinical and economic value messaging and Competitive positioning
- Collaborate with Sales Operations on the evolution of enablement platforms (LMS, knowledge systems, AI-driven tools)
- Support field teams in driving usability at scale
- Scale Enterprise KPIs linking enablement to business outcomes in alignment with FS, including leveraging analytics to identify capability gaps and inform workforce and growth strategies
- Build and lead a globally integrated enablement function across U.S., EMEA, APAC, and WWI, including enablement people and team development
- Ensure consistency in standards while enabling regional flexibility
Qualifications
Skill/Job Requirements:
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Sales Enablement, Commercial Excellence, or Sales Leadership
- Proven track record of building and scaling global enablement organizations in complex, matrixed environments
- Demonstrated experience developing director level leaders and cascading competence through multiple organizational layers.
- Demonstrated experience in scaling value based sales and marketing competencies in medical devices or healthcare
- Demonstrated ability to engage and partner with C-level and senior executives
- Strong business acumen with the ability to link enablement to strategy and designated growth KPIs
- Travel 60%, including global travel if not located in Atlanta
Preferred
- Experience in surgical robotics, MedTech, or highly technical commercial environments
- Blend of field sales leadership and enablement/training experience
- Expertise in modern enablement technologies and digital learning platforms

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target base compensation ranges are listed.
