Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

The Sr Business System Analyst will act as Workday Systems Analyst/Developer and possess both the functional & technical understanding of Workday HCM and will serve as primary source for Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support, configuration, and development of interfaces and functional enhancements.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Workday platform.
  • Configure and design Workday HCM functional areas, including core HCM, absence, benefits, compensation, business process, and security.
  • Troubleshoot, develop, and maintain integration systems across the Workday integration platform.
  • Involved in building and debugging custom reports, EIBs, connectors, document transforms, XSLT, calculated fields, BIRT, Workday studio, and orchestration.
  • Analyze business processes, perform fit-gap analysis as required, and provide ISI business teams with a cost-efficient proposal on inefficiencies and risks to determine appropriate process and system design.
  • Create functional specifications and work with cross-functional and development teams to deliver technical solutions.
  • Review and contribute to the design document, configuration documents, and functional specifications.
  • Conduct Unit testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, and User acceptance testing.
  • Support ISI’s production processes and all associated business systems functions.
  • Work with ISI IT and business teams to optimize and streamline business processes and technical solutions.
  • Identify gaps between the current and future state of business processes and help in prioritizing opportunities to improve processes through the usage of the Business capability matrix (BCM)
  • Lead and facilitate business user meetings to gather process information for sound system solutions.
  • Collaborate with and provide input to the development team during the development phase to meet business needs.
  • Conduct unit and Integration testing and regression testing.
  • Maintain IT Business system integrity and application notes, system upgrades, changes, and user updates.
  • Work closely with the on-site and offshore teams, managers, and executives to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Follow the Intuitive change management process. Analyze the impact of changes to the corporate application landscape
  • Act as a Senior BA, guide & mentor team members to deliver the best solutions and provide peer reviews and advice on areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working on the Workday platform with Business Systems Analyst / Development experience in a full cycle implementation, as well as in a support role.
  • Strong experience with Workday project implementations and Workday integrations platform, including integrations with ERP and third-party applications.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration of new and existing Workday features, including user management, roles/profiles, permissions, custom objects, new page layouts, custom fields, calculated fields, condition rules, validations, business processes, and notifications.
  • Experience working with business end users, gathering requirements, and building detailed functional design specifications.
  • Experience building and debugging custom reports, EIBs, connectors, document transforms, XSLT, calculated fields, BIRT, and Workday studio.
  • Experience collaborating with Integration resources in a highly integrated system landscape.
  • Workday Pro Certifications – preferred: Integrations and HCM.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to guide team members and mentor them as needed.
  • Able to work independently and consider cross-functional and downstream impacts with close attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, interpersonal, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability to work with non-technical end users.
