Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The purpose of the Sr. Manager, Program Optimization & Custom Analytics – Endoluminal is designed to work with health systems to demonstrate the applied clinical, financial and operational feasibility of Ion through a lung cancer patient journey by developing and utilizing real world evidence business cases from client provided data.  In doing so, this individual will provide consultation to health systems providers and physicians on strategies for optimizing robotics programs, including process improvement, technology integration, and staff training to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes. 

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position responsibilities include: 

  • Formalize & scale analytics projects in order to meet internal and external customer demands.

  • Partner with business unit colleagues, Marketing, Sales, GPA, MACA, Clinical Affairs and others to identify barriers that are or may inhibit technology adoption.

  • Increase patient access to Intuitive technology by removing access, belief and coordination constraints through consultative advanced analytics of partnered healthcare organizations, in concert with the ISI commercial team.

  • Identify regional best-practice references to incorporate into Intuitive robust peer-to-peer education programs.

  • Drive a project plan with a cross-functional team that builds out a common data model, compliant processes, and automation in order to meet customer demands.

  • Assist digital product teams in discovery, defining, development & delivery of products.

  • Partner with local and global Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) colleagues to identify research gaps and develop evidence strategies to support stakeholder adoption.

  • Partner with commercial and market intelligence teams to provide patient, physician, provider and payer healthcare economic insights to drive market adoption of key endoluminal technologies, including engagement with KOLs, key provider stakeholders and subject matter experts.

  • Educate and train the organization on requirements and key competencies needed to overcome barriers inhibiting adoption and utilization of Intuitive’s endoluminal technologies in assigned markets.

  • Generate regular voice-of-customer (VOC) feedback on clinical and economic challenges being faced by hospital and payer stakeholders and develop strategic recommendations to align value messaging to customer needs

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS, CORE COMPENTENCIES AND SKILLS

To adequately perform the primary roles and responsibilities of this position the individual must have:

  • 6+ yrs. experience of increasing responsibilities in applied market access, health economics and outcomes research, health policy/reimbursement development, payer relations, and clinical sales in assigned geography.

  • Experience in health care medical device, analytics, technologies, hospital industry, and/or health care consulting highly valued.

  • Extensive knowledge of EHR/EMR data sources, Business Intelligence platforms, exploratory and explanatory analysis, data visualization methodologies.

  • Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to collaborate and facilitate across multiple disciplines in a cross-functional matrix organization.

  • Self-starter, capable of significant autonomy, can create structure within ambiguity.

  • Results-oriented, self-confident and able to react quickly under pressure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills to senior leadership and external audiences.

  • Excellent prioritization, project management and analytical skills

  • Remote/Hybrid – Regional Based in Priority Market with occasional travel to Sunnyvale, CA.

  • Ability to travel up to 20-50%

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years’ industry experience or an advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) with 6+ years’ experience in hospital administration, market access, health economics, marketing, sales, medical affairs or market development. 

  • Healthcare medical device, pharma or hospital/health system/IDN industry experience in Regional/Country is required.  Proven record of accomplishment of being recognized as a top performer within teams.  Experience working across diverse marketplaces and in an evolving healthcare environment.

  • Experience in health economics, clinical selling, sales/marketing, health policy, reimbursement, payer strategies or health care consulting is highly desired.
