Job Description
Lead the end-to-end supply chain management by overseeing direct material suppliers and parts, driving business continuity, optimising performance, and shaping supply strategies through sourcing, contract negotiation, category roadmap development, spend analysis, inventory management, commodity intelligence, and supplier performance monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional category management, developing long-term supplier strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Drive supplier selection process, leveraging strategic sourcing practices to identify core supply base offering lowest total cost of ownership and high-quality products
- Manage supplier performance through scorecarding, business reviews, and continuous improvement efforts
- Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and capacity assessments for assigned suppliers and critical sub-tier suppliers
- Negotiate and establish contractual agreements, including long-term volume pricing, risk mitigation, and capacity agreements
- Lead cost reduction initiatives to achieve year-over-year goals within assigned categories
- Support plant purchasing by implementing lean sourcing principles to ensure material availability and optimize inventory levels
- Drive change management for complex projects and maintain master data integrity for suppliers and parts
- Mentor colleagues within the supply chain organization and identify process improvement opportunities
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of supply chain experience in a regulated industry manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing principles, category strategy development, and collaborative supplier management. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost savings.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and project management. Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of lean principles, kanban systems, and supply chain processes including buying, material planning, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on precision and consistent achievement of stretch goals.
- ~25% travel to domestic and international suppliers required.
