Job Description
Primary Function of Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Technician I to join our dynamic team. This role involves monitoring and maintaining equipment, performing routine maintenance, and supporting operational processes to ensure efficiency and safety. You will inspect machinery, record operational data, assist in troubleshooting and repairs, and work closely with senior technicians to ensure optimal equipment performance. Additionally, you will adhere to safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. A key part of your responsibilities will include supporting the production team by executing on- time tissue deliveries and contributing to inventory accuracy. Your efforts in managing inventory levels and maintaining detailed records will be essential in ensuring smooth production operations and meeting delivery schedules.
Essential Job Duties
- Contribute to tissue preparation as needed.
- Conduct daily production/operation duties.
- Conduct mechanical maintenance on equipment and tools while applying user manual instructions.
- Stock and organize supplies/inventory/conduct cycles counts on a weekly basis.
- Support technicians needs (workstation stocking, thawing, vacuum sealing).
- Transport goods to and from facility.
- Run miscellaneous operational errands.
- Work closely with Operations Supervisor and Lead to oversee daily operations.
- Work with different departments to improve performance, work efficiency, and communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and/or Smartsheet.
- Valid driver’s license and authorization for employment in the US.
- If internal, must be recommended for promotion from the area Supervisor and Management team. Promotion approval may be subject to interview process.
Required Education and Training
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 years in a similar role within a manufacturing or material handling environment.
Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to work in a controlled environment (i.e., clean room), wearing appropriate attire and meeting room standards.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to suggest simple process improvements.
- Solution-oriented mindset.
- SAP Experience.
