Primary Function of Position:

The RISE Engineer, Rotations at Intuitive Science and Engineering, completes 4 x 6-month assignments across various functions and business units for an accelerated learning and development experience along with acquisition of product knowledge, technical skills, and professional development.  The RISE SW Engineer will begin the development program in a “home room” assignment and they will return to the home room position upon graduation of the 2-year program.   

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Complete 2-week Intuitive Boot Camp Training prior to starting first RISE Assignment.
• Support key technical projects as assigned by RISE Assignment Manager in various areas of software engineering / computer science.
• Transfer of project knowledge and key information to other RISE Participants.
• Network with mentor and other Intuitive employees for greater organization understanding and growth.
• Attend RISE training sessions for increased technical and soft skills and apply to assignments and projects.

Skill / Job Requirements:

• Winter 2023, Spring or Summer 2024 graduate with M.S. or B.S. Engineering, Science, or related degree.
• 0-1 year related experience.
• Strong technical ability to grasp new concepts and apply to problem-solving /solutions.
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, SW Engineering.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about the medical device technology.
• Experience with robots or electro-mechanical devices is preferred.
• Fluent in C and C++, and comfortable with Python and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: QNX, Linux, and Eclipse.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written, oral) with the team.
• Flexible and open-minded.

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
