Intricate Vegetation is hiring a Seasonal Weed Sprayer based out of our Sherwood Park office. This position is a seasonal position that will run from May to August 2021.

The principal role of the Seasonal Weed Sprayer will be the removal/controlling of selected vegetation on oilfield leases, pipelines, and right-of-ways, as well as record keeping while maintaining a high commitment to safety, top performance, and quality service.

Key Responsibilities 

• Vegetation control including mixing and applying herbicides to oil lease sites, road sides, and industrial facilities using truck sprayers, UTV/ATV’s and other spraying equipment
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain records using tablets
• Follow safety standards and safe work procedures set out by Intricate Vegetation Management and regulatory requirements
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of equipment

Expectations

• Follow all safe work procedures and follow all Health and Safety documentation processes
• Ability to commit to seasonal shift work (May to September) with a flexible schedule and variable hours
• Ability to work overtime as required

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• Herbicide application/vegetation control experience is an asset
• Preference will be given to Industrial Certified Pesticide Applicators and Applicator Assistants 
• First Aid and H2S required, other site-specific safety tickets considered an asset
• Must have a minimum class five (5) drivers license with clean driver's abstract 
• Must be able to comply with Intricate Vegetation Management’s Drug and Alcohol Policy, including pre-employment testing
