Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Software Developer specializing in ServiceNow to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with ServiceNow in a cloud environment, along with expertise in Agile and DevOps methodologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying applications on the ServiceNow platform, ensuring they meet client needs and align with best practices.

This role will operate in a hybrid environment, combining remote work with on-site collaboration in the DC/VA/MD region.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and customize applications on the ServiceNow platform to meet specific business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Utilize ServiceNow's Application Development modules to build and manage scoped applications.
  • Ensure the integration of third-party applications with the ServiceNow platform via APIs and other mechanisms.
  • Implement and maintain ServiceNow workflows, business rules, and UI policies to streamline business processes.
  • Manage the full development life cycle, including testing, implementation, and deployment.
  • Support cloud-based implementations and ensure performance optimization for ServiceNow applications.
  • Leverage Agile and DevOps methodologies, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), to maintain project efficiency.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and improvements to the ServiceNow platform to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure that all customizations meet ServiceNow best practices.
  • Document development processes and provide support to junior team members as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing in the ServiceNow platform.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide, etc.) and experience with ServiceNow modules like Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, and Configuration Management.
  • Cloud development experience, especially with ServiceNow cloud architecture.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development practices and DevOps frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps) for ServiceNow.
  • Experience with database management in ServiceNow and optimizing query performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
  • Experience with ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM)ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM), or other ServiceNow modules.
  • Experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and understanding of cloud security best practices.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks within ServiceNow.

Additional Information
