Dentist

  • Full-time

Company Description

Take your dental expertise to Diego Garcia, a remote island in the Indian Ocean, where you'll provide essential oral healthcare, support dental readiness, and help patients access the care they need in a unique international setting.

At International SOS Government Medical Services, you'll support healthcare programs that improve patient care and operational readiness across the U.S. and internationally. Founded in 1984, International SOS operates in more than 90 countries, delivering healthcare, medical assistance, emergency response, and workforce support services worldwide.

Job Description

You will provide comprehensive oral examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and authorized dental procedures for personnel supported by a remote-site clinic. Annual examinations and dental readiness activities are integral to this position, alongside routine appointments and assessment of urgent needs. Where diagnostic or specialty treatment exceeds local capabilities, you will arrange an appropriate referral and coordinate clinical documentation.

This role calls for practical decisions about what can be safely managed through the local dental facility and what needs specialist support. You will review medical and dental histories, assess urgent conditions, and use available imaging or laboratory resources to guide care. Patient education and follow-up planning are important throughout treatment, particularly when referral or travel documentation is necessary. You will also support examinations linked to annual readiness requirements and ensure screening results are recorded accurately. As part of the broader clinical team, you will contribute to equipment and supply readiness, proper instrument processing, incident reporting, and corrective actions when safety concerns arise. All services remain within authorized privileges and the resources available on the island.
