Job Description
Deliver advanced critical care nursing services within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment supporting U.S. government personnel in Iraq. Working alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and nursing teams, this ICU Registered Nurse role combines hands-on patient care with rapid clinical assessment, complex intervention management, and collaborative care coordination in a fast-paced international medical setting.
This opportunity offers the ability to care for critically ill patients within a collaborative critical care environment focused on patient safety, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary support.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients, including continuous assessment, monitoring, and intervention across high-acuity clinical situations.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and critical care treatments while supporting individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Operate and monitor advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion devices, to support safe and effective patient management.
- Document patient care accurately within electronic medical records while maintaining continuity of care and compliance with clinical standards.
- Support patients and families through education, communication, and advocacy while contributing to a collaborative and patient-centered care environment.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate, Bachelor, Master of Science in Nursing, or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- 3+ years of ICU or critical care experience, including recent direct patient care experience within the past year.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications. CCRN certification preferred in lieu of extensive experience; ATLS preferred.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport
- Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting military, government, or international healthcare environments.
