Job Description
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) safely provides anesthesia to surgical patients for a variety of operations and/or procedures. The CRNA provides pain medication and anesthesia care for patients before, during, and after surgery. They administer medications to keep patients asleep or pain-free during procedures and monitor for biological functions of the patients for safe effective outcomes.The CRNA will consult and collaborate with the entire surgical care and interdisciplinary team for patient care planning.The CRNA is responsible for routine maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive preoperative evaluations to assess patient medical history, physical condition, and anesthesia risks.
- Review laboratory results, imaging studies, and other diagnostic information to determine appropriate anesthesia plans.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
- Administer various forms of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia.
- Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia depth during procedures.
- Manage airway and respiratory support as necessary throughout the surgical process.
- Provide care in the post-anesthesia recovery unit, monitoring patients’ recovery.
- Assess and manage any immediate postoperative complications or side effects related to anesthesia.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted CRNA license in any State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- BE/BC by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) preferred.
- 3+ years' experience as a CRNA including 6 months within the last year.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
- Master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
Physical Requirements:
- Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Valid US Passport with at least 6 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate

Compensation | Min: 225,000 Max: 275,000
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
