Job Description
This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below:
International SOS is looking for an individual who is experienced as a Board-Certified Ear, Nose and Throat( ENT) Physician to provide a comprehensive clinical Otolaryngology service including full range of ENT surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical Otolaryngology services including the full range of ENT Surgical procedures: Typical surgical procedures include, but are not limited to:
- Thyroidectomy
- Parotidectomy
- Sinus Surgery
- Head/Neck cancer removal
- Pan endoscopy
- Intraoperative Follow-up: Physician shall be present in the operating suit for all Otolaryngology procedures.
- Postoperative Follow-up: Physician rounds shall be conducted on postoperative ENT patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and on the wards.
- Provide consultative services at the patient's bedside and outpatient clinic.
- Follow all established medication policies and procedures.
- Provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all Otolaryngology clinical or surgical patients.
- Communicate test results to providers and patients in accordance with VHA Directive 1088.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings with committee participation as required by the facility Chief of Service or designee.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- Board Certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology.
- Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Current DEA certificate.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Physical Requirements:
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to relocate to project site for the duration of the contract.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance.

Compensation:
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
