Job Description
This position will support Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) Government Solutions in their joint department of defense program in Alice Springs, Australia. The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below:
International SOS is looking for an individual who is experienced as a Security Duty Officer to maintain the safety and security outside the technical areas by monitoring surveillance systems, patrolling the premises, and responding to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor assigned area to include receiving inquiries, prioritizing, and responding or delegating actions.
- Provide, monitor, and control personnel access to classified areas.
- Implement and maintain a program to prevent the removal of classified material from classified areas.
- Obtain appropriate approval and signatures for individual requiring access.
- Conduct security education training and security briefings.
- Provide physical and personnel security.
- Implement operational security initiatives.
- Provide monitoring and response to security, fire, and other emergency alarms or indicators.
- Employ electronic systems or physical procedures to screen personnel and devices before entry into classified areas.
- Operate the US Government provided paging and radio network.
- Perform security roving patrols of the technical area.
- Check computer systems for physical tampering or misuse.
- Ensure computer systems are locked when not in use.
- Provide first-response and emergency services support to the site.
- Remove and relocate snakes and other reptiles away from human populated area.
- Inspect classified spaces prior to uncleared personnel being escorted into classified area.
- Conduct random security patrols and inspections of the complex, warehouse, and surrounding buildings and areas.
- Preform maintenance and repairs on security systems, respond and restore to operation.
- Plan familiarization exercises with medical personnel to ensure familiarity with processes and response procedures.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Previous experience as a security duty officer.
- Previous experience working as a government contractor preferred.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing and walking for extended periods, often patrolling the premises.
- Ability to lift and carry objects, sometimes up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing stairs and stooping as needed to inspect areas.
Other Special Qualifications
- Must be an US, UK or Australian citizen.
- Must be able to obtain a favorable security clearance by the sponsoring agency.
- Must be willing to relocate to Alice Springs, Australia for the duration of the contract.
- A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Australia
Additional Information
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
Compensation| Min: $16hr Max: $20hr
