International SOS Government Services administers the TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP), providing high-quality, accessible health care services for U.S. Military service members, family members, retirees, and other eligible beneficiaries overseas.

Job Description

The Aviation Relationship Manager is responsible for providing clear leadership in the delivery of professional and effective medical and aviation transport services for the TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP) while implementing strategies to increase customer value, integration and aviation services growth. Representing International SOS TRICARE aviation services in key meetings both internally and externally to our clients.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the organization of transportation programs and offerings to the US DoD under the TOP.

  • Devise strategies to enhance International SOS and TRANSCOM relations via continuous process improvement, integration and growth of services (e.g. expand portfolio and identify opportunities)

  • Build relationships with various TRANSCOM PMRCs and client stakeholders to expand (& maintain) International SOS and the TOP platform close working relationships

  • Represent the TOP Program as an aviation subject matter expert where required, including in-person and remote meetings primarily with the Theater Patient Movement Requirements Centers (TPMRC) and other component and COCOM commands.

  • To provide technical expertise in support of COCOM Contingency planning and military business aviation development.

  • In conjunction with International SOS’ regional aviation management structure, provide contingency support and planning to COCOMs, as requested.

  • Represent International SOS in US DoD aviation integrated process teams (IPTs).

  • To be responsible for aviation program quality assurance regarding the provision of TOP aviation transport services.

  • Act as quality control on the TOP aviation program by investigating performance breakdowns and continually reviewing and improving processes as required.

  • Monitor and report on contractual SLAs and KPIs relating to aeromedical evacuation, and to manage process improvements to ensure compliance.

  • Support audits where appropriate for contractually agreed services such as block overflight landing permission purchases.

  • Be the TOP point of escalation for Aviation program related matters.

  • Assist with training of TOP personnel in the aviation and operational elements; supporting the development of standard operations procedures for this purpose.

Qualifications

  • Aviation related background with military experience preferred, ideally within medical planning within TRANSCOM or COCOM/component command in the medical readiness arena
  • Track record of procurement and quality/business process improvement.
  • Information Technology literate.
  • Contract negotiations and/or business development.
  • 5Significant experience in Account Management and/or Aviation Services industry.
  • Experience with US Department of Defense (DoD) or other US Government agencies.
  • Knowledge and experience within the general commercial aviation industry
  • Experience in dealing with aviation operators and/or aircraft charter brokers.
  • Experience with business process improvement means & tools, a plus.
  • Military experience as a Medical Service Corps officer or related skill area an advantage.
  • ADP2 security clearance, or ability to meet requirements upon hiring.
  • Bachelor or Master degree or comparable and/or tertiary qualifications in aviation or related fields.
  • Excellent written and spoken English
