Job Description

We are looking for a Regional Healthcare Program Director to join our existing team in Germany. You will be working with one of our clients on their US military healthcare program which supports active and retired personnel and their families globally. In this role will have overall responsibility for delivering various programs across the Eurasia Africa region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate performance of country operations in line with client objectives and identify areas of process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Implement continuous improvement plans and facilitate change where appropriate to solve organisational or departmental problems.
  • Interpret and explain policies, rules, regulations, or laws to organizations, government or corporate officials, or individuals.
  • Prepare and present reports highlighting activities which affects business/program services, such as expenses, budgets, or government legislation.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing a regional engagement strategy that supports strategic initiatives in close coordination with Global Head of Program.
  • Act as regional point of contact for the US Government Area Office, Military Service Representatives, Combatant Commands and Regional Sub-contractor Leads. 
  • Act as regional point of contact for escalations regarding contractual and policy guidance.
  • Implement plans to develop and manage service provider relationships.
  • Lead the International SOS provider network management efforts in the region, particularly from a provider relationship and provider customer care perspective.
  • Lead direct reports and collaborate with matrix business partners to achieve high levels of quality and cost effective service through the regional provider network.

Additional:

  • Travel will be required for this role.
  • Security clearance (ADP2 as a minimum) will be required for this role. 

Qualifications

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Previous military experience in the military health system, department head or executive management level, preferred
  • Prior experience in working with the US Government or United States Department of Defense
  • Strong client facing and negotiation experience with the ability to communicate with key external and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous experience of delivering complex programs in a heavily matrix-ed organisation
  • Change management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Business, Public Health or related health care field Post graduate an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Fluent in Microsoft office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Additionally Visio and SharePoint preferred
  • Comfortable with technical policy detail and strategic insight
