Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director, the Salesforce Solution Architect designs, modifies, develops, writes, implements deploy and support software upgrades for AppExchange products being used; supports and/or installs software applications and components; monitor Salesforce upgrade release impacts; works from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and maintains documentation of process flow.  Will ensure these applications are performing to the highest standards thus enabling the teams within the International SOS Government Services Division to provide quality support to our internal and external end-users.

This is a fixed-term role for 6 months with a possibility of 12 months extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Omnichannel implementation.
  • Utilize established development tools, guidelines, and conventions including but not limited to Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, Communities, Triggers, etc.
  • Design, code, and test new enhancements or features being built.
  • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement •
  • Create technical specifications and test plans Develop and support Salesforce as per instruction while following appropriate procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including listening effectively and sharing information within a team environment.
  • Setup, install, configure, and maintain all the different Salesforce instances like DEV, QA, STG, TRAINING and PROD.
  • Utilize appropriate Salesforce development best practices, individually or in concert with a project team.
  • Work with Support teams and collaborate to close out incidents to maintain support level.
  • Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business.
  • Ability to multitask between support tasks and new development deliverables.
  • Provide technical leadership for designing, developing and implementing front-end, middleware, and back-end applications/services.
  • Interface with business team to assist in conducting analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Help architect and implement SSO with Azure Government Cloud.
  • Create and maintain services including monitoring, supporting, and reporting.
  • Ability to plan, design, and document technical specifications for complex business critical software solutions.
  • Translate the business requirements into system requirements, and demo solutions to key Stakeholders.
  • Establish and help maintain end user access policy and permissions.
  • Implement and maintain search services, including defining search scopes.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience:

  • Salesforce Service Cloud
  • Apex
  • Visualforce
  • Lightning Framework
  • Trigger
  • Java
  • REST/SOAP Webservices
  • Single Sign On

Minimum of 2 years’ experience:

  • Translate Business Requirements to Design.
  • Web Services

Required skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems preferred or, equivalent work experience; Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
  • Strong experience in Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, Service Cloud, Omnichannel, Community Cloud, etc.
  • Strong skills in Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Lightning Framework, etc.
  • Working knowledge of SOA Architecture, SOAP & REST.
  • Working knowledge of relational database concepts.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team of developers.
  • Great interpersonal skills that have the ability to interface with stakeholders from different business units.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to quality.
