Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Group Sales Development Manager on a permanent contract to join our team in Chiswick, West London.The Group Sales Development Manager will work in close collaboration with the HR Director Sales & Marketing to ensure effective talent management and professional development of the Sales community. 

This position is integral to help facilitate the decision making process on recruitment, career transfers, employee retention and succession planning across the Sales function. In addition, the Group Sales Development Manager will be responsible for the design, delivery, facilitation and coordination of sales learning and development solutions to support International SOS’s global sales force.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously assessing development needs of the sales teams through stakeholder management and regular clients visits.
  • Ensuring there are relevant sales L&D solutions to support the Sales community with the implementation of the Group’s strategic initiatives in specified verticals.
  • Designing/updating, implementing, facilitating and coordinating sales on-boarding programmes for new joiners and recently transferred employees.
  • Establishing, together with regional Heads of Sales a sales L&D plan for each sales team that ensures the effective application of the acquired skills, knowledge and behaviours. Monitor the implementation and assess effectiveness of these plans.
  • Supporting the implementation and launch of the Sales e-learning platform.
  • Develop and implement virtual/online sales training-related technologies such as pre-recorded and standardised training modules, live and on-demand virtual learning content, and audio and video teleconferencing.
  • Create and facilitate training across multiple instructional delivery modalities, including e-learning, virtual, and face-to-face training.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of each business unit, and form effective working relationships with key decision makers.
  • Support the Sales & Marketing Talent Management and Succession Planning process aligned to business needs using the set of standardised tools and processes.
  • Assist the consolidation of employee Talent Profiles and the identification of development needs and tracking of development programmes for identified individuals.
  • Ensure succession plans for key executives and critical roles to build leadership bench strength across the Sales & Marketing function.
  • Assist in the proactive career management of identified individuals and support cross-border career transfers as required.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven Sales and Marketing experience with a international organisation.
  • Generalist HR/L&D experience is highly preferable.
  • Demonstration of successful coaching and developing a sales team.
  • Ability to establish a plan and execute it, with consistent checkpoints, appropriate monitoring and adjustment.
  • Strong commercial acumen; Results driven with a high passion, drive and motivation.
  • Networking skills. Ability to collaborate, co-operate and network effectively within a demanding, culturally diverse, matrix organisation.
  • Entrepreneurial. Comfortable in a dynamic, fast changing, complex and unstructured environment; self-starter, self-discipline and self-motivation.
  • International exposure and mind-set, combined with cultural sensitivity and effectiveness in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • L&D and coaching qualifications are desirable.
