Job Description

Start date: Early June 2019

Salary £21,000

We are currently recruiting 5 x Inventory Control Administrators on a permanent contract to join our team in Barking, East London. The successful candidates will assist the Inventory Team Leader (Control Manager) / Operations Team to meet all the Inventory requirements of the warehouse operation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in physical inventory check
  • Ensure all paperwork is in accordance to the requirements
  • Ensure all goods are put away in the correct locations after being book by the Goods In Team
  • Ensure all locations in Unit 18 warehouse are replenished moving the shortest dated stock to the pick face locations and the longer dated stock to the overflow pick bins.
  • Ensure incoming deliveries are located correctly and promptly
  • Ensure cycle counts are completed accurately against product, batch, quantity and expiry date
  • Ensure cycle counts are completed on a daily basis against the plan, communicate any issues arising from this to the Inventory Control Manager
  • Ensure accuracy in all documentation required in the warehouse
  • Attend the Goods In meeting and communicate issues arising to the Inventory Control Manager
  • Assist in the monthly transfer of short dated stock in the system
  • Assist in the monthly removal and checking of all expired stock
  • Assist in location set up and checking the build reports/temp locations, ensuring locations in all sections are cleaned to reflect the current stock holding
  • Assist in the production and updating of reports as necessary for the Inventory Control function
  • Assist in identifying and feedback to Inventory Control Manager on potential issues and improvement to processes and system that directly impact the business
  • Ensure any warehouse transfers and adjustments are completed accurately
  • Assist in investigating customer complaints to ascertain where the error has occurred
  • Assist with customer returns and ensure goods are returned both physically and systematically
  • Assist in maintaining all discrepancy logs
  • Assist Operations Team in investigating stock issues to ensure as far as possible orders can be closed and dispatched on time and in full
  • Assist in the daily completion of order using the warehouse management system
  • Ensure production is performed completely with absolute accuracy
  • Ensure receiving postings are performed promptly
  • Ensure Good Distribution Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice is followed at all times
  • Ensure all site policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure all communications both internally and externally with suppliers and customers are managed in a professional manor whilst representing the company
  • Assist in any projects as appointed by the Inventory Control Manager
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Good computer skills including knowledge of MS Office and ERP Systems
  • Strong team player
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dynamic and committed with proactive and positive working attitude
  • Strong passion for process improvement
  • Must be able to perform correct manual handling techniques

 

 Required Work Experience

  • Experience of working in a warehouse/logistics environment
