Job Description

Start date: Early June 2019

Salary £21,000

We are currently recruiting 4 x Goods-In Technicians on a permanent contract to join our team in Barking, East London. The successful candidates will ensure processes and procedures in the Goods In department are being followed through; ensure compliance in documentation; ensure daily work volumes are achieved ensuring productivity and quality meets the required standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all incoming deliveries are in good condition and are accurate to the system
  • Ensure system accuracy during data entry whilst booking in stock on specific requirements
  • Ensure all stock received into the warehouse are correctly booked onto the Warehouse Management System and transferred into the correct locations. Accuracy must be against stock code, quantity, batch number and expiry date, country of origin, manufacturer.
  • Ensure all returns are received and booked onto the system once the necessary approvals have been gained from the Pharmacist
  • Ensure all inbound queries are resolved liaising with the Purchasing and Inventory Team to ensure the correct decision is being taken
  • Ensure all supplier returns are booked into the correct location and are dispatched from the system once collected
  • Ensure controlled drugs and temperature sensitive products are received correctly following the correct regulations and site policies
  • Ensure production is performed completely with absolute accuracy
  • Ensure accuracy in all documentation required in the warehouse
  • Assist to ensure operational Key Performance Indicators set out for the department are being achieved
  • Ensure all prescription only medication is identified and booked to FMD location
  • Ensure all prescription only medication is scanned via ATL FMD platform for verification and decommission
  • To keep up with individual Key Performance Indictor’s
  • Supports other departments as and when required to achieve the needs of the business.
  • Housekeeping of warehouse premises and yard area to ensure high standard of 5S (Sort, Sift, Shine, Standardise, Sustain)
  • Ensure adherence to local safety and security regulations
  • Ensure Good Distribution Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice is followed at all times
  • Ensure all site policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure all communications both internally and externally with suppliers and customers are managed in a professional manor whilst representing the company
  • Assist in any projects as appointed by the Shift Manager
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Good computer skills including knowledge of MS Office and ERP Systems
  • Strong team player
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dynamic and committed with proactive and positive working attitude
  • Strong passion for process improvement
  • Must be able to perform correct manual handling techniques

 

 Required Work Experience

  • Experience of working in a warehouse/logistics environment
