L.E. West International (Medsupply) is a leading supplier of pharmaceuticals, surgical and medical equipment, medical consumables and first-aid supplies worldwide. We have the ability to source and supply high quality products from manufacturers worldwide and dispatch using the most economical and reliable methods available.

We are currently recruiting a Sales Director on a permanent contract to join L.E. West (a subsidiary of International SOS) based in Barking, East London. This role is to support the overall On Time In Full company KPI in ensuring that catalogue items are available on hand according to the usage and forecast given by Planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase Catalogue items to ensure stock on hand
• Chase suppliers to ensure on time delivery
• Report manufacturers or distributors delays to Planning and Order Desk
• Close the Purchase Orders and give authorization to finance to pay
• Build relationships, maintain and monitor performance of key suppliers
• Update cost and lead time in the system
• Assist the Sourcing Manager in evaluating current suppliers and identifying new suppliers
• Assist the Sourcing Manager in identifying alternative/new catalogue products
• Work closely with Planning, Inventory and Order Desk teams to ensure client expectations are met

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Pharmaceutical/Medical supplies Industry knowledge (manufacturers, distributors, importers)
• Product knowledge of medical consumables and equipment and pharmaceuticals preferred but not required
• Understanding of the procurement cycle
• Computer/ERP literate (knowledge of Sage would be an advantage)
• Experience in procurement within a fast paced global business ideally in a pharmaceutical or similar industry
