Job Description

The Business Controller will be responsible for the overall Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis of our Swiss Operations, partnering closely with the General Manager and Department Heads as a business advisor responsible for driving sound financial performance towards the organizational goals. The position will require excellent analytical skills and ability to interact with and positively influence the various business owners. The Business Controller will be a key member of the Europe Finance team and will contribute to the overall objectives by identifying areas of improvement, supporting the adoption of best practices and more generally promoting positive changes to finance and the business overall.

Qualifications

Prepares budgets and forecasts for the territory and submit in line with Corporate and Regional guidelines

Prepares month-end Management reports (incl. (P&L, Invoiced Sales, Bridges, G&A, WCI and Capex) 

Review monthly financials (Gross Profit and General & Admin Expenses) for potential accruals and/or corrections and provide those adjustments to accounting/GSS as necessary

Liaises closely with accounting team during month-end closing to ensure accuracy of financial records

Actively Partners with General Manager and other Business leaders (Sales, HR, Operations...)

Works closely with the Regional Sales Analyst to coordinate, complement and interpret Sales and Financial Performance Analytics

Computes and reviews with Senior Management the Sales Commissions and Incentives

Identifies areas of cost savings and implement strategies to realize savings.

Key skills and competences:

Minimum of 5-10 Years relevant Experience with Previous Experience as a Senior FP&A Manager or Controller;

Advanced knowledge of Excel required; knowledge of Sun Accounting/Vision & IBM-Cognos would be an advantage

Proficiency with SalesForce.com and PowerBI would be a plus too.

Effective written and oral communication skills in English and German. French is a strong asset.

Hands-on with day-to-day operations;
