Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing for Benelux, the Business Development Manager will achieve direct profitable sales growth in dedicated markets in Belgium and Luxembourg by winning new business opportunities. The incumbent will ensure that clients’ needs are fully understood within the business and are met while maximising profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sales action plans to achieve monthly and annual sales and business targets for new business and cross border targets.
  • Ensure an in-depth understanding of the market segments and identify key prospect clients to promote and sell the entire range of medical and security services.
  • Conduct joint reviews to build a more effective communications plan, to understand development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance in regards to targeting customers in Belgium and Luxembourg.
  • Management of client relationships to acquire a comprehensive understanding of client business strategy and facilitate business development through alignment with International SOS medical and security solutions.
  • Anticipate customer needs, requirements and market trends, identify buying influences and develop contacts at the highest levels within target clients and prospects.
  • In conjunction with the Business Development Managers and Global Account Managers, develop a sales plan for each key prospect or client defining their market strategy, market share, growth opportunities, organisational chart, key contacts and decision making process.
  • Drive the growth of cross border sales through developing close cooperation and strategic relationships with other sales and marketing personnel and country managers in other regions (Europe, Africa, Asia, and The Americas).
  • Build close relationships with local communities, associations, and partners.
  • Ensure the professional standard of all written all client proposals, tender documents and communication is adhered to, in line with company standards and pricing procedures.

Qualifications

  • Able to demonstrate a proven track record of profitable sales growth in a corporate environment.
  • Strong sales background, with proven “hunter” attributes towards acquisition of new business and exemplary levels of client care and focus in account management to drive extension business and build relationships across all levels of the client.
  • High profile networking ability, strong relationship building skills and confidence with senior decision makers
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously and drive change
  • Excellent numeric, written and oral communication skills in English, Flemish and French.
