We are currently looking for a Production Manager (Pharmacist) to join our team on a fixed term contract (12 months) in Barking, East London. The overall purpose of this role is to ensure that all manufacturing activities within the Labelling Room are compliant to GMP.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent Pharmacist, Quality and Compliance Manager in ensuring that the guidelines on Good Distribution Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice are complied with
• Manage the Labelling Team to ensure that GMP requirements are adhered to;
• Ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate standards of quality;
• Approve the instructions relating to production operations and ensuring their strict implementation;
• Ensure that all production records are fully completed before submission to one of the contracted Qualified Persons;
• Check the maintenance of the department, premises and equipment;
• Ensure that the required initial and continuing training of the departments personnel is carried out and adapted according to need, retention of records, monitoring of compliance with GMP, ensure timely and effective communication  to raise quality issues to the appropriate levels of management
• To perform any other professional duties as requested by the Superintendent Pharmacist, Quality and Compliance Manager

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proven, successful work history preferably in a supervisory role
• Related experience in dealing with UK regulatory and licensing authorities within the pharmaceutical industry desirable
• UK registered Pharmacist preferred
