We are currently recruiting a Coordinating Security Manager, based in Dubai, on a permanent contract to join our Middle East security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and delivery of the regional Security Operation in line with the direction set by the Security Director, Operations and detailed guidance from the Regional Security Manager, Operations. In addition, they will be responsible for the short term (7 days) resourcing and supervision of Service Delivery, including 24-7 escalation, and for the core competencies across the Security Operation in line with global standards. Operating in a dynamic and fast-moving working environment you will need to be adaptable and flexible; comfortable with ambiguity; able to work without supervision and under pressure in a complex operating structure.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision of Dubai RSC operational desks for delivery of core security services, including 24-7 escalation
• Day-to-day delivery of Security Operations
• Mentoring, supervision, training and development of Security Specialists
• Support recruiting, on-boarding and induction of new employees as directed by management
• Delivery across core security services, including situational awareness, case management, consulting delivery and operational planning, according to Assistance Centre Standards and Quality Management Plan
• Ensure correct capability is available for high quality production of online and bespoke written and verbal content
• Maintain awareness of the regional security situation
• Coordinate resourcing of deployed elements, including RSC country trips and Incident Management Team deployments
• Support the Country Assessments Process activity by participating in CAP reviews and completing subsequent actions/tasks as directed, including refining Concepts of Operation, Escalation Matrices and Information Collection Plans.
• Deliver Consulting and Training tasks as directed by management, in conjunction with Security Director/Regional Security Manager Security Solutions

Profile:

• Strong people management and relationship skills
• Operational security, intelligence, risk management and/or crisis management experience
• Excellent English language written and verbal communications
• Strong understanding of the political and security landscape of the Middle East, Africa and/or EECA
• Strong influencing skills
• Very strong attention to detail
• International work experience essential
• Cross cultural management experience essential
• Significant experience in security or intelligence operations in military, government (officer or senior NCO), or private sector roles essential
• Team management, ideally including remote management
• Extensive experience in the Middle East and/or North, East & Southern Africa and/or Eastern Europe & Central Asia
• Experience delivering consulting and training tasks in a corporate environment
• Experience with corporate quality management programmes and quality metrics an advantage
• Undergraduate degree (or relevant professional training) in a field related to security, risk management or international relations
• Master’s degree in similar fields an advantage
• Accreditation by an internationally recognised security or risk management body desirable
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Fluency in Arabic, Russian, Turkish, Swahili, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese or other operationally/commercially useful languages an advantage
