We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Doctor to join us in a dynamic office based clinical role where you will expand your medical and clinical knowledge whilst working across an international platform. You will be providing medical support to a worldwide client base across a variety of industries, focusing on quality, patient contact and, above all, care.

Your typical day would be:

  • Delivering front line telephonic triage to patients, each one in a different country on each call

  • Providing medical due diligence and direction for all assistance cases

  • Developing and enhancing your understanding of global and travel health, and providing pre-trip travel advice to travelers

  • Interpreting medical situations by conducting a tailored risk analysis of condition vs geographical location

  • Giving telephonic advice to patients, relatives, employers, employees, insurance companies and other key stakeholders

  • Obtaining medical reports, organising referrals, monitoring the patient’s conditions, recommending appropriate means of medical transportation, and monitoring progress

  • Liaising with international medical professionals to obtain medical assessments for patients who are hospitalised or being treated overseas

  • Arranging complex medical evacuations and repatriations from all over the world

  • Acting as a medical escort when required for appropriate medical cases.

  • Working within a truly international team – we have offices in 26 different countries you will interface with daily

Qualifications

Who we are looking for:

  • Previous Critical Care or Emergency Medicine or General Practice experience

  • Cruise Ship or military experience desirable

  •  Further studies in travel health, global health or public health desirable

  • Medical Degree essential

  • Must currently be registered with the UK GMC 

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Good IT skills

  • ALS certified
