Job Overview

Works with internal development team, business stakeholders, and vendors to analyze business requirements and develop solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.  Working through the DQ applications lifecycle, work with the business on changes to process flows and supporting technology systems. Coordinates and directs the software development, testing, and release schedules, collaborating with the appropriate Business areas, applicable vendor teams, and internal IT Teams (Application Development, Infrastructure, and BI).   The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, highly adaptable, an excellent communicator, and will enjoy working with a team. To be successful, the candidate must understand data requirements and learn the strategies that drive our business vision, and have a dedication to producing high-quality output towards successful deliverables.

Primary Accountabilities:

 

Business Analysis

  • This Business Analyst partners with stakeholders and development teams to analyze business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions aligned with strategic goals. With a strong emphasis on Business Intelligence (BI), they use analytics to uncover insights, address customer pain points, and support smarter decision-making.
  • They regularly assess business applications, operations, and processes to identify inefficiencies and missed targets. By collaborating with IT, vendors, and business units, they help streamline workflows and improve reporting through dashboards, KPIs, and BI tools.
  • Beyond project work, they share knowledge, deliverables, and lessons learned across teams to promote continuous improvement. Their role blends traditional BA responsibilities with a modern, data-centric approach that supports both operational and strategic needs.

Project Management

  • Provide day-to-day project leadership and decision making on multiple projects especially pertaining to iteration scope, schedule, and resources. Ensure business deliverables are completely satisfied and on time.
  • Manage internal App Dev and/or 3rd party vendors (as necessary) as an integral part of the team’s activities. Hold resources accountable, communicate on their performance, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Coordinate / Lead project meetings as needed for the current IT initiatives.  Ensure that continuous collaboration exists between internal and external parties
  • Communicate and escalate any project risks and conflicts that may arise to the Program Manager or appropriate Product Owners for resolution.   Drive accountability and cooperation between development teams and business stakeholders. Serve as the liaison to the customer for the development team.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete and communicated (e.g. user stories, use cases, test plans, deployment documentation, release schedules, status reports, etc.).
  • Update and report project status information cross functionally on a weekly basis for different audiences such as executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology teams.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or business-related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an analyst or project management role.
  • Attention to detail, demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and information gathering skills; with the ability to create solid written project artifacts, including the business case creation and production of functional specifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills; must be able to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexible approach. Ability to adapt approach to meet the needs of the business.
  • Strategically focused, with an intuitive grasp of business priorities and objectives.
  • Broad-based familiarity with technology and Information Technology services, with the ability to make technology concepts accessible to non-technical colleagues and customers
  • Strong experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and SharePoint.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent certification is preferred and may substitute for some required experience. A strong understanding of business analysis methodology/processes is required.

The US national base salary range for this position is $95,101-$116,499. . This position is also eligible for a bonus. The base salary range displayed reflects the targeted hiring range for positions across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, work location and relevant education or experience.

Work Environment

Most positions located out of our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN will work a hybrid work schedule where you will work 2 collaboration days a week.  Additional in office time may be required to support team/project needs.  Positions will be identified as “remote eligible” when consideration will be given to candidates outside of drivable distance to our Bloomington office.
