    Job Description

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer & Platform Administrator located at our corporate office in Bloomington, MN.  

    The Senior Systems Engineer & Platform Administrator – works with a team of skilled staff to develop, implement, maintain, and support technical systems, with specific expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint.  They are a mentor and technical resource to IT Service Desk staff and other Systems Engineers, sharing responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and support of the company’s global infrastructure.

    The Senior Systems Engineer & Platform Administrator also participates in a variety of higher-level and/or cross-functional team projects, including the planning, design, and implementation of new/updates to existing Cloud components, authentication, and end user/endpoint security.

    Key Accountabilities Include:

    Systems Engineering & Administration

    • System engineering, system administration and security administration of Dairy Queen Microsoft Power Platform, including but not limited to Power Apps, Automate, Power BI, as well as SharePoint.
    • Set standards, configures, builds structure and security for Microsoft platforms, and manage and administer those platforms.
    • Partner with and provide SME guidance to teams as they build solutions using our core Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.
    • Provide necessary documentation for all applications and systems.
    • Provide off-hours support, as needed, to support product updates, equipment upgrades, and address technical issues.
    • Assist in integrating Azure SQL data warehouses to Power Apps and LogicApps, and other BI and Reporting toolsets.
    • Help build, develop, and socialize global Power Platform standards and practices
    • Assist team with Cloud, Active Directory and M365 tenant-level settings and management.

    Maintenance & Projects

    • Version management, platform infrastructure administration and monitoring.
    • Management and maintenance of the AD environment, Group Policy, Cloud integrated applications and application delivery infrastructure
    • Maintain technical documentation for solutions and standard operating procedures such that services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
    • Manage multifaceted and technically sophisticated projects and on-going operations.
    • Meet project and task deadlines.
    • Trains System technical staff on use of software/hardware tools in accordance with required standards and procedures.
    • Monitor compliance with audit requirements and Information Security policies and guidelines.

    Service Development

    • Continually look to improve and refine the IS infrastructure services delivered to the business, globally.
    • Maintain knowledge of emerging technology.
    • Help define and meet SLA requirements for infrastructure components.
    •  Contribute deep technical skills, and industry experience and best practices to the rest of the team, driving change.

    Communication & Collaboration

    • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with people at all organizational levels.
    • Work in a team environment making positive contributions to the organization.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff members, customers, and vendors.
    • Other duties as assigned or required.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related/applicable field(s) is preferred, but not required
    • 5+ Years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Administrator using several applicable and transferrable technologies, including, but not limited to: Windows Stack/Operating Systems, Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Security, and other related technologies.
    •  1-2 years of experience with Azure
    • Familiarity with Master Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Governance, Data Strategies and Assessments

    • Demonstrated success in developing and deploying enterprise-level solutions
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills
    • Advanced computer skills, good written and oral communication skills
    • The ability to travel as required (<10%)

    Work Environment

    Most positions located out of our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN will work a hybrid work schedule where you will work 2 collaboration days a week.  Additional in office time may be required to support team/project needs.  Positions will be identified as “remote eligible” when consideration will be given to candidates outside of drivable distance to our Bloomington office.
