    Job Description

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Communication Specialist.  This role is responsible for drafting, distributing and measuring business-critical communications to corporate- and franchise-owned DQ restaurants, suppliers and distributors. Partners with internal stakeholders to draft communications and counsel in which channels to communicate: email, extranet website and/or World of DQ magazine.

    This role also is a key partner, along with the field communications manager, in iteratively improving communications processes, planning, execution, measurement and technologies to drive operational efficiencies and productivity for franchise owners, suppliers and distributors.

    The ideal candidate is a strong business writer who has an attention to detail and communicates clearly, concisely, accurately and quickly. This role requires a self-starter who collaboratively partners with staff up to an EVP level.
     

    Key Accountabilities Include:

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to draft, revise, and distribute content included in daily and weekly field communications to corporate-owned and franchised restaurants, suppliers and distributors. Align communications with the company’s strategic goals and corporate and consumer brand messaging.
    • Conduct research to evaluate communications technologies, tools and processes for efficiency and effectiveness; make recommendations for and implement changes to deliver continuous improvement.
    • Assist in communicating franchisee and supplier meetings and events, including the biennial franchisee convention, DQ Connect, and the annual supplier meeting, DQ Supply Chain Summit.
    • Create and distribute communications reporting dashboards to internal business partners, empowering informed communications decisions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or related discipline
    • One to three years of experience in a dedicated corporate communications or operational communications role is required
    • Demonstrated experience communicating clearly, concisely, quickly and accurately in a business environment is required
    •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint is required
    • Experience in managing email distribution platforms is required; experience with Emma is preferred
    • Experience in a field communications role supporting a retail-based organization is preferred
    • Up to 5 percent travel preferred
