    Job Description

    IDQ has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. HRIS Analyst supporting our corporate headquarters in Bloomington, MN.  This Sr. HRIS Analyst collaborates with subject matter experts across the HR Services area and payroll to analyze and document requirements, dependencies and deliverables for HR system initiatives.  This role manages HR Technology projects, plans and executes HR system testing, data conversion and data validation processes throughout the HR ecosystem. In addition, works with subject matter experts in other business units as well as external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve HR application issues. The Sr. HRIS Analyst acts as the key subject matter expert on all people analytics which includes reporting, dashboards and storytelling for the HR team. 

     

    Key Accountabilities:

    System Management

    • Lead the review, testing and implementation of upgrades, patches, customization and new systems within the HR ecosystem
    • Monitor and troubleshoot various system errors
    • Maintain data integrity by analyzing data and conducting frequent data audits across all systems
    • Partner with team to determine appropriate communication to necessary parties (i.e. HR, Payroll, Managers, Employees, etc.) regarding new functionality or notable changes to the system. Write and conduct the training for end-users on new processes, functionality, and upgrades
    • Develop and maintain system integrations and partner with vendors when issues arise
    • Create and maintain user procedures, guidelines and documentation for the system
    • Make recommendations to leadership on system upgrades or needed customizations across all systems
    • Responsible for data and user security as well as compliance with relevant regulations, security policies, standards and guidelines.
    • Partner with HR Operations team to manage and create the data feeds between systems; for example, active directory, ChromeRiver, WOW, etc.

    Project Management

    • Lead and create project and communication plans with team, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach to all projects. Align the project plan and timeline with the vendor and document the necessary tasks to be completed within scope and timeline. Ensure deliverables are met throughout the project and escalate issues as needed to project sponsor.
    • Respond to end-user issues, test new product features and customize HRIS solutions
    • Assist with the review of all upgrades and new implementation partners with business functions to support projects from a technical perspective

    Reporting

    • Partner with HR leadership to create HR metrics and dashboards to support company initiatives including pulse surveys and DE&I. Distribute dashboards to key leaders in the organization.
    • Lead the effort to build, test and update current business intelligence reporting within HR systems
    • Analyze, identify and present important trends and emerging issues to provide critical insights to senior leaders

    Continuous Improvement

    • Seek out new opportunities to continuously improve processes, workflows and the user experience throughout the HR ecosystem
    • Automate processes where possible and remove human intervention
    • Be aware of current HRIS trends with a focus on employee experience, search first delivery, mobile delivery, vendor product development and leverage use of key technology features
    • Continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge by participating in user group meetings, conferences, etc.

     

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience
    • 5 more years of experience in HR system design and implementation, including system analysis and reporting
    • UKG, SilkRoad, Qualtrics and/or SmartRecruiters system experience preferred
    • Previous report building skills using Cognos analytics, Power BI or equivalent reporting tool

    Skills:

    • Skilled in using analytical, statistical, dashboard and/or business intelligence packages
    • Strong working knowledge of HR infrastructure and the relationship between HR systems
    • Demonstrated strong financial and data analysis skills, and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas. Summarize, analyze, interpret and present data in a clear and articulate manner.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to articulate benefit concepts to a variety of audiences is a must
    • Must be detail oriented and have strong problem-solving skills
    • Self-directed worker and able to work autonomously
