    Job Description

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Project Coordinator based out of our Burlington, Ontario headquarters.  The Marketing Project Coordinator supports the marketing team in day to day coordination of marketing initiatives. Primary areas of responsibility include assisting with marketing communications in addition to supporting all aspects of cause marketing fund raising programs. This role will also support mall specific product marketing as well as assist with the coordination of various new product tests. The ideal candidate will have excellent organization, communication, analytical, and project management skills. They will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where they will be required to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and accomplish these tasks with high level of detail and accuracy.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    Marketing Communications

    • Support the Senior Director Marketing in coordinating the planning, execution and tracking of marketing communications including TV, Outdoor, Radio and Public Relations.
    • Manage creative development timelines and ensure key milestones are met.
    • Route creative through all required channels for internal approvals including legal, advertising standards.
    • Draft agency assignment briefs.
    • Proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent copy and voice.
    • Coordinate mass media initiatives and media planning.
    • Track and mange budget control reports for creative and media initiatives.

    Cause Marketing

    • Manage the overall execution of all planned initiatives to support Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) and DQ® Miracle Treat Day.
    • Interface with franchisees, hospitals, vendors, agencies, operations and accounting on CMN activities.
    • Manage CMN and MTD awards programs and incentive contests.
    • Create CMN updates for e-News and launch kits as needed.
    • Assist in managing and coordinating CMN franchisee committee to ensure committee input on activities is integrated.

    Product Marketing

    • Assist brand team with new product test execution.
    • Identify potential test stores for new products.
    • Assist in analyzing product test results and outline implications.
    • Assist in managing test store communications and follow up as required.
    • Support mall division in mall marketing initiatives including meeting co-ordination, presentation preparation and new product test execution.
    • Coordinate and manage timelines and roll out of new packaging designs.
    • Provided monthly competitive reviews for Food, Treat and Mall competitors.

    Other Marketing Related Duties as Assigned

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    • Degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of work experience and education. 
    • Strong knowledge and familiarity with the Restaurant Industry, and of restaurant operations, preferred.

    Skills:

    • Creative thinker with the potential to develop marketing-related innovative ideas.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrated ability to create and successfully drive project plans, to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment.
    • Well organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
    • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
    • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
    • Intermediate math skills, including percentages and cost of goods.
