Job Description

This is a full-time position working with the INTERLINK CancerCARE team from the Hillsboro, Oregon office. This position will be responsible for both clinical and administrative duties including receiving incoming calls and transferring calls to the appropriate personnel. Additional responsibilities include registering Members into the program, completing follow-up calls, and assisting nurses in coordinating Members’ care. The position will report to the Senior Operations Director and work directly with nursing personnel and the entire CancerCARE team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Performing timely telephonic interviews and coordinating the intake process
  • Proficiently entering notes and data into an electronic medical record while obtaining information telephonically from the Member
  • Member outreach and coordination
  • Verify insurance and program eligibility
  • Maintain and update files and records as appropriate
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Provide support and resources to Members as needed
  • Contact and interface with medical clinics to request confidential medical information as requested

Qualifications

  • Excellent relationship building skills, internal and external
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and experience documenting in an electronic health record
  • Healthcare experience required, Oncology knowledge preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in all work products critical for this position
  • Ability to determine priorities with varied duties and communicate workload to stakeholders
