Job Description

What you will be doing

The Quality Specialist leads projects and support business teams in extra ordinary situations to secure products are delivered with right performance. Train and verify compliance to ways of working according to purchasing manual and contribute to developing and improving working methods in the engineering/quality field.

  • Lead Gate check before first delivery and secure four eyes’ principle
  • Plan and perform pre-audits and audits with business teams and supplier according to IKEA quality GO/NOGO standard and working instruction and based on audit result, enable the business teams and suppliers to perform solid root cause analyses, and support in implementation of containment and corrective actions
  • Being a speaking partner for business teams and suppliers in tackling the preventive actions (e.g. Production risk analysis FMEA, One Compliance Assessment OCA, Trainings, Calibration forums)
  • Take an active participation in category projects in co-operation with business team in case of quality deviations or quality improvement projects
  • Lead global/local projects related to quality working methods and improvements within Quality in Supply Assignment
  • Lead the development and implementation of common working methods and tools locally as well as globally within the quality matrix
  • Take an active role in new co-worker’s introduction within Supply Area regarding quality working methods, instructions, and tools
  • Coach and train business teams and suppliers in the IKEA Quality GO/NOGO standard as well as in utilization of quality tools (5 why, Root cause analysis, FMEA) in the daily work
  • Develop and contribute to better ways of working, processes, frameworks, and tools in order to share good practices and optimize the utilization of quality competencies in the Supply Area dimension

Qualifications

  • University degree in quality management, chemistry, chemical engineering, or similar.
  • Technical background and significant experience in quality/compliance management and handling chemical issues, with a focus on product quality and chemical requirements.
  • Proven experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, laboratories, consultancy firms, governmental authorities, and within production environments.
  • Ability to deliver results through engaging, leading, and inspiring people.
  • Skilled in inspiring and straightforward communication to engage co-workers, business teams, and partners.
  • Knowledge of relevant quality standards, production technologies, and materials.
  • Fluent in English and Vietnamese, both spoken and written.
