Ikea plant-based food products include Grains & Bakery, Beverage, Vegetable & Fruit, Condiments, Confectionary and Snacks, covering both Food Service and Consumer Packaged Goods from production suppliers and traders.

Job Description

Main job responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible for supplier performance and business relationship, building professional and long-term supplier relationship through IKEA way of doing business, based on a shared business model, trust and transparency 
  • Implement category strategy and strategic plan, drive constant supplier performance development from all aspects (Cost, Quality & Food Safety, Sustainability, Logistic)
  • Work closely with business team and collaborate with related stakeholders in end-to-end Ikea food value chain (e.g. Retail, Range Area, Supply Chain Operation etc.)
  • Lower total cost through value chain optimization, partner with suppliers to continuously enhance the competitiveness
  • Act as ambassador of IKEA values, with fact-based business leadership 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Food industry expertise will be preferred, but not mandatory
  • Language capabilities: proficient English and Japanese are must. Well understand Japan business culture and collaborate with Japanese business partners
  • Good supply chain, purchasing and supplier management experience. Solid legal & financial knowledge. Strong negotiation skills and communication capabilities. Understanding about Sustainability.
  • Comply with Inter Ikea Group Code of Conduct and Business Ethics
  • Self-driven, strong team spirit, solution-oriented, with sense of urgency and responsibility
