Information Security and Data Privacy Leader

Job Description

As part of our team, you will, together with your peers, continuously improve our information security and data privacy strategy for IKEA. You will engage with stakeholders across the organisation, nurture a security-by-design culture, and monitor digital risks, compliance and improvement plans. With your broad knowledge, you will be a big contributor to the protection and strengthening of the IKEA Brand and trademark. 

 

More specifically, in this role you will: 

  • Build and maintain strong relations with various stakeholders to inspire and mobilise them towards mitigating ISDP risks and fulfilling internal ISDP compliance requirements 

  • Lead the roadmap to ensure and enable compliance with internal ISDP requirements 

  • Design and monitor compliance with ISDP requirements for our various digital customer meeting points 

  • Advise internal digital product and platform teams to implement information security controls. You leverage our internal ISDP standards and guidelines, but you are also capable of thinking out-of-the-box and recommend tailored solutions and work side-by-side with the teams to find practical solutions. 

  • Coordinate incidents within Inter IKEA Group and at IKEA franchisees to minimise the impact on the IKEA value chain and keep IKEA available for the many. 

  • Lead and contribute to initiatives to further develop the Inter IKEA Group frameworks, standards and best practices for information security, data privacy and business continuity. 

  • Work closely together with peers across the totality of Inter IKEA and across IKEA to strengthen and contribute to a strong and relevant IKEA franchise offer. 

  • Act as an ambassador of IKEA values, promoting collaboration, innovation, and a positive work culture. 

 

Information security is not a one-person job. You will work together with many specialists and leaders across IKEA, including but not limited to: 

  • The team’s information security and data privacy leaders to ensure digital risks are managed on the appropriate level and are escalated if needed. 

  • Our centralized information security and data privacy capability teams to ensure the digital product and platforms teams that you support leverage available capabilities, such as identity and access management, security monitoring, and disaster recovery. 

  • The network of information security and data privacy teams across Inter IKEA Group to standardize and further improve our ways of working. 

  • Our IKEA franchisees and other IKEA companies across the globe. 

 

This role is positioned within the Franchise and Data Privacy team in Operations Management, part of Inter IKEA Group’s Enabling Functions and reports to the Franchise and Data Privacy team manager. Occasional traveling, mainly to Sweden/Netherlands but also outside of Europe, will be required to stay connected with Inter IKEA Group’s network of information security and data privacy teams and the franchisees you support. 

 

About you 

We do some amazing things at IKEA, therefore we need some amazing people – this position is not an exception! 

You should be able to inspire and mobilize people toward clear objectives, embrace ambiguity, and contribute to building new capabilities. You are curious and able to build relationships to establish strong trust between the information security and data privacy community and its stakeholders. It is also necessary that you carry natural credibility, and you have a proven track record of reaching stretch targets. 

We expect you to: 

  • Have 5+ years of relevant knowledge, and hands-on experiences in digital/IT risk management, compliance, information security and data privacy. 

  • Have experience navigating in complex global organizations and adaptable in a highly dynamic organization setting. 

  • Be a natural facilitator and excellent communicator who can engage and motivate stakeholders. 

  • Have a pragmatic approach towards problem-solving who can be creative when needed. 

  • Have excellent command of the English language with the ability to cater to non-native audiences.
