The Communication function in Range has the assignment to lead, develop and enable impactful communication that strengthens the IKEA brand by creating engagement, building trust for IKEA, and enabling better business.

We’re now looking for a Communication Leader to help us move our most important strategic and business topics forward through impactful communication!

Job Description

As Communication Leader, you’ll be a key contributor to the development and innovation agenda in Range. You’ll lead, develop and enable communication that creates movement and engagement, builds trust, and strengthens the IKEA brand - both internally and externally.

You will work closely with, and be a trusted partner to leaders and stakeholders across the business to: 

  • Drive strategic communication connected to our development and innovation priorities. 

  • Translate complex topics into clear, inspiring and consistent messages that move and connect people and ideas. 

  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of business strategies and transformation through communication. 

  • Represent IKEA in a way that’s authentic and fully aligned with our values. 

The role reports to the Communication Manager, Strategic Topic Development, and is a member of the Development & Innovation management team. You’ll collaborate closely with the Innovation community, relevant communication networks, and partners across Range to lead, align and amplify our communication efforts. 

Qualifications

You’re a strategic communicator who simplifies complexity and creates impact. You bring curiosity and hands-on collaboration into a fast-paced, ever evolving environment - confidently contributing your expert communication perspective and navigating diverse agendas across the business landscape. 

You have: 

  • Proven experience in leading communication in a strategic business context. Previous experience working in senior roles within transformation communication or large-scale business transformation is a plus. 

  • A good reputation as a strategic doer, passionate about communication as both a business enabler and a tactical tool to lead business and people.  

  • A strong ability to adapt to change and navigate complexities, seamlessly moving between strategic, tactical, and operational tasks. 

  • Hands-on experience of crafting communication in English for internal and external use. 

  • Good understanding of the IKEA strategic landscape and the value chain for a holistic view of connecting topics and people. 

  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills. 

  • Experience of working with the IKEA Brand identity and tone of voice is a plus.
