We are looking for a Workplace Facility Operations Generalist in Workplace Operations

Workplace Operations enables many co-workers to develop our product range in a functional, safe and inspiring workplace. You will be important in our daily work where we simplify and optimize for relevance when creating pre-conditions for our business to have the best possible products at lowest possible price.  

Workplace Operations belongs to Business Performance & Support in IKEA of Sweden AB that hosts several enabling functions such as Finance Performance & Operations, Business Steering, Risk & Compliance and Legal. Business Performance & Support provides insights into different parts of the range of organization making the right business decisions and the services provided connected to our workplace give us the right preconditions to thrive and deliver at work.  

We are now looking for a Workplace Facility Operations Generalist  

You will work with logistics, administrative import/export tasks and package handling flow as well as running maintenance, In Shape as New and waste management. You will be a part of a team that together actively contribute to the development and follow up within the same areas to secure that all logistics processes work smoothly and that facilities are long-lasting and sustainable and in conditions that meet the expectations of visitors and co-workers. You will report to Workplace Facility Operations Manager and closely collaborate with all parts of Workplace Operations as well as other stakeholders such as IT/Digital, Product Development, and relevant service- and transport suppliers.  

 

 

Job Description 

To be successful in this role we believe that you:  

  • Have an education or equal experience within parts of Facility Management and/or logistics operations, transport bookings and import/export.  

  • Have good digital knowledge, handling administrative tools easily as well as having experience of working with and/or interest in hardware equipment.  

  • Are knowledgeable in Supply Chain Security and Quality Management  

  • Have a minimum B Driver license and preferably a forklift license.  

  • Are able to build trustful relationships and co-operate with people in different units and cultures, showing strong communication- and feedback skills.   

  • Have a strong service focus and enjoy a fast changing everyday with focus on problem solving, creative thinking, prioritizing and structure in a cost-conscious way to meet deadlines.  

  • Finds motivation in identifying areas of development moving towards a more digital and sustainable environment.  

  • Enjoy working with a mix of tasks, both administrative and practical.  

  • Have an eye for aesthetics as well as functionality while maintaining the premises
