Digital Ethicist | (Data) Information Management | Core Business Range
- Full-time
Company Description
You see things a little differently. So do we! At IKEA, we believe that what you value is more important than what your CV says. We offer positions that will challenge your skills and let you grow. Come see things a little differently with us.
The world is changing, and the IKEA business is changing with it. For IKEA though, one thing will always remain the same ─ our vision to create a better everyday life for the many people. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Digital Ethicist to work in Core Business Range. Digital ethics is a discipline that critically assesses the impact of data and digital technologies and produces actionable advice for co-workers. It involves thinking about accountability, responsibility and ethical principles throughout the lifecycle of data and digital technologies.
In this role you will build awareness about digital ethics and why it matters to IKEA and wider society. You will lead the implementation of digital ethics tools and methods and the facilitation of digital ethics assessments and decision-making. You will empower others to implement digital ethics best practices in their work by demonstrating how to apply ethical principles through examples, case studies and discussions. In this role you will report to our Information Management Manager at IKEA Range and work closely with the Digital Ethics team across Inter IKEA.
About IKEA
At IKEA, we do things a little different. We think, differently. Act, differently. And work differently as well. We like to break things. Like rules. And then make things. Like music-playing lamps. And beds disguised as sofas. Even plant balls that help us look after our planet. It’s all part of our vision - to create a better everyday life for the many. And it’s been keeping our co-workers going for over 75 years. By 2030, we hope to help millions more look forward to going home. Maybe you can help us.
Creating long term success for IKEA, together
We want to become an even more affordable, sustainable and accessible home furnishing retailer in an omni-channel reality. We bring business and data & technology together to improve how we work and meet customers and enable us to focus on creating value. So, we can continuously improve and scale IKEA, together with our partners and the many people.
At IKEA we believe that we’re better when we’re physically together for collaboration, dialogues and conversations. We believe in the power of human interactions; the informal chats, the energy, belonging and creativity generated by people being in the same place. Our approach is that we spend most of our time in the IKEA workplace and with flexibility to work from home when relevant.
