Job Description

Your tasks in the role will include:

  • Securing service provider's operational performance in all aspects.
  • Collaborating with service providers and internal supply chain stakeholders to secure optimal usage of agreed/available transport capacity vs planned/needed capacity. 
  • Actively working with forecast analysis to secure capacity for peaks, volume fluctuations, etc. Likewise, together with supply chain stakeholders, securing functional optimal solutions at lowest total cost.
  • Supporting Business Developer with Tender/other procurement activities’ preparation and qualitative implementation that create preconditions for performance.
  • Developing and sharing needed Transportation industry knowledge  with all relevant stakeholders
  • Monitoring and securing execution of signed contracts vs. agreed terms & conditions. Performing compliance/spot checks at service providers to verify compliance with given parameters, such as quality of equipment, safety and security
  • Securing capacity in unforeseen situations that appear in fast moving environment, including procurement out of tender.

Qualifications

For you to be successful in the role we believe that you need: 

  • University degree in Logistics, Economics, Business Administration and/or – at least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge of the transport industry incl. market-specific transport safety, security and quality standards
  • Understanding how Supply Chain, transport planning and different set ups work
  • Good knowledge of Transport production costs and the main dependencies
  • Analytical skills, ability to build and evaluate fact-based business cases as well as good negotiation skills and a master in constructive communication
  • Advanced Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Be curious, able adapt fast and implement changes, innovative solutions with creative approach
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
