Job Description

As a Team Manager you will get to lead a great team that are super focused on developing awesome solutions for the many IKEA people. The goal is to establish a foundation for IKEA product information to be utilised across the entire value chain. You oversee the selected domain and a team, focusing on their development, operations, and delivery. This role includes setting strategic direction for the area and managing both vendors and employees. 

Your main focus is to; 

  • Secure a competent and high-performing team. 

  • Provide thought leadership and innovation to address business challenges. 

  • Lead and support DevOps and an agile culture 

  • Establish and implement common ways of working. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including governance, process, operations, shared service counterparts, suppliers, and other digital units. 

  • Coach and guide the team with up-to-date technology expertise. 

 

Qualifications

For the job as a Team Manager, you: 

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in leadership, focusing on delivering results by involving and engaging people effectively.  

  • Maintain a balance between delivering business value and ensuring business agility. 

  • Have experience in working with technology as a business tool, along with the ability to translate requirements into solutions. 

  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening, coaching, and facilitating. Clear, structured, and honest communication is emphasised

 

Additionally, you should have a background in software engineering, with the following qualifications: 

  • Experience as a Software Developer and Team Manager.  

  • Interest in software engineering. 

  • Knowledge of different programming languages.  

  • Familiarity with cloud technology. 

  • Understanding of IT and solution architecture.

The position is a permanent role based in Malmö. We understand the importance of balance between work and personal life and are therefore able to offer you flexibility. The SW Engineering Managers presence with the team is considered crucial for the development of a successful team and business.
