Job Description

As a Designer at IKEA, you play a crucial role in upholding our identity and ensuring that our product range aligns with IKEA vision. Your creativity and expertise will help us design innovative, functional, and affordable products that make a difference in the lives of many.

  • Collaborate as a specialist and team member in end-to-end product development, ensuring timely project management.
  • Designing for low cost on the factory floor to maximize the supplier capabilities and production efficiency.
  • Design exceptional IKEA products with a focus on democratic design, flat-pack solutions, platform standardization, and optimal material utilization to lower costs.
  • Create prototypes, sketches, and renderings, effectively communicating your concepts and product ideas to teams and stakeholders.
  • Create innovative and functional designs with a focus on sustainability and circularity.
  • Support and empower colleagues to contribute their creativity to product development.

  • Driven by a passion for creating a better everyday life through home furnishings for the many people.
  • Naturally curious about new challenges, life at home, and people's evolving dreams and needs.
  • Enthusiastic about collaborating with diverse teams, both internally and externally.
  • Possess extensive knowledge and experience in home furnishings, customer needs, design, style, trends, and life at home.
  • Familiar with designing products across various styles, including a strong understanding of Scandinavian design and cultural heritage.
  • Eager to explore new ideas and see them through from conception to production, leveraging your knowledge of product construction and production techniques.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results under tight deadlines.

Additional Information

  1. 2024 graduates or graduated young designers.
  2. Major in industrial design or product design.
  3. Full-time job, one-year contract.
  4. Work Permit Application for Foreign Students: the graduate within one year with master degree plus average score no less than 80+ or B/B+ could apply category C work permit.
