IKEA is constantly developing and meeting our customers in many new meeting points with new store formats and increasing online sales. Our packaging and handling solutions are a key contributor and key enabler for our success and ambition meeting the more of the many.

In this exciting journey we are looking for a Packaging Development Leader, that is passionate about finding new ways, and working together across working across organization and functions.

In this role you will be leading the development and implementation of IKEA’s future consumer packaging concepts & handling materials.

You will be driving packaging development project and initiatives across our value chain in IKEA.

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Working across different stakeholders (both internal and external) and coordinate the outcome of the cooperation to deliver the IKEA Packaging & Identification direction throughout IKEA.
  • You will co-operate closely with Categories, Range Areas, Retail franchise and other stakeholders.
  • You will be part of the leader group in Packaging Development and lead both operational tactical and strategy questions.

Qualifications

We are looking for a person who is not afraid of the unknown and can work in a development environment.

You shall manage a holistic strategic view and at the same time bring it down to a concrete execution agenda.

You shall have a proven record of co-operation across and be able to lead questions with indirect leadership.

More specifically, we wish that you:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the IKEA business model, concept, strategic landscape and IKEA Ways of working, through extensive work experience on strategic or tactical level from different parts of the IKEA value chain.
  • Experience from either retail, retail fulfilment, range or supply logistic.  
  • Good communicator with the ability to translate data into insights.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of customer need as shall be met by existing and future IKEA customer meeting points and IKEA supply chain.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple tasks seamless.
  • Proven ability to connect and inspire multiple stakeholders.

Fluent in written and verbal English.
