Job Description
The main objective of this thesis is to assess simulation environments for digital home furnishing, utilizing machine learning techniques. Through this thesis, you will delve into the evaluation and manipulation of IKEA's digital twin products with the goal of developing effective and inspiring home furnishing solutions. Main tasks:
1. Conduct a literature study of simulation environments capable of importing virtual products.
2. Run one of the simulation environments and import virtual products.
3. Investigate machine learning frameworks to manipulate the virtual products positions in the virtual rooms/spaces.
4. Write a report and presentation to present to the lab.
Qualifications
You are a curious, motivated, and eager to learn about artificial intelligence, digital twins, and computer graphics.
You are enrolled in MSc educational program in, e.g., computer science or electrical engineering and has interests in programming.

We offer you some time to work in the Spatial Computing lab in IKEA where you have the opportunity to make an impact on future technology trends. We offer flexibility in location and working hours, so you can be located anywhere in Sweden and working part-time or full-time (with deliverable timelines adjusted accordingly).
