About you 

We are beginning our search for a superstar leader who can unite our colleagues, inspiring everyone to move platform strategy in the right direction within the Shared Data and Technology area. As our ideal candidate, you'll be a visionary go-getter with a practical approach to problem-solving. You are curious and able to build relationships in order to establish strong trust across the technology community and its stakeholders. You'll need to be adaptable, flexible and comfortable leading in the unknown, but don't worry - we know you've got this!  

As someone who is at home with IT and digital, you are well-versed in the latest technology trends and can easily handle complex IT services. With your extensive knowledge, you can enable business processes through innovative technology and support the IT services life cycle of interdependent technology platforms and digital products.  You are passionate and inquisitive about modern cloud-based technologies, enterprise data management, identity and access management, analyticss and service management. With your curious mind for contemporary advancements in IT, you will help us to build for the future.

But that's not all! You'll also need to define the overall resource needs for Shared Data and Technology in delivering the roadmap with Agile ways of working and determining where we can work with strategic partners to make things happen. Collaboration is key; so, you'll be working closely with other networks of expertise to ensure alignment between our security, service management, and enterprise architecture domains.

More specifically, in this role, you will be accountable for: 

  • Ensuring that shared platforms are operated and maintained in a reliable and stable manner and taking responsibility for the performance management of all platforms-related infrastructure. 

  • Work closely with the digital product leaders to ensure that the platform roadmaps reflect the priorities defined by the digital product leaders. 

  • Ensure consistent ways of working across the shared platforms and digital products I.e. Development & Operations, change and release management, service management, configuration management, etc.

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR and Chinese Cyber Law. 

  • Supporting all aspects of IT service delivery within the assigned platform area, including operations, IT support, lifecycle management, and IT service continuity management, including IT service performance in accordance with service level agreements. 

  • Ensuring that assigned cross-functional teams understand the overall direction, objectives, delivery process, and responsibilities for any given initiative. 

  • Driving consistency in practice, process, toolset, and architecture together with the networks of expertise to secure common ways of working and increased efficiencies. 

Qualifications

We are looking for a leader who can take the reins and lead the development and operations of our common platforms and technical products. You'll be responsible for making sure everything runs like a well-oiled machine, supporting enablement processes across Inter IKEA – e.g. from People & Culture to Communication and Finance.  

To support this area successfully, your program leadership experience will be fundamental. It will be important that you understand the Product and Platform domains. Also, you have previously worked closely with IT Service Management and Operations, including release/change management and ITIL processes. 

As our ideal candidate, you'll be the driving force behind the implementation of our platform and technology roadmaps. That means you'll need to be a real problem solver, balancing the needs of the business with the capabilities of our platform. You'll be working closely with business owners and peers, collaborating to ensure that everything is running smoothly and we're meeting our targets.

This role is full-time and based in Malmo.  In this role, you will report to Jesper Juul Andersen Digital Leadership at IKEA Shared Data & Technology.
