Within the area of Order and Financial Management we are setting a new foundational digital core in place, for total IKEA and for many years to come. The OFP Program is identified as one of the key movements within the common IKEA Digital Roadmap and will put a new focus on maturing how we need to manage Data and Information and how we can use this to take better decisions and optimise the business. It will create benefits and impacts across the complete IKEA value chain, from our Suppliers to our Retailers.

Inter IKEA Group brings together three core businesses: Franchise, Range and Supply. Together we work constantly to improve the IKEA home furnishing offer and make it more accessible for the many people. You will be part of IKEA Supply and the Supply Chain Development organisation. IKEA Supply is responsible for securing that the product offer is produced and delivered to our customers. We lead the supply agenda across many functions and work together with all business areas, different business units, but also retail markets to secure customer availability in all markets and sales channels at lowest total cost.

Job Description

You will be part of the Supply Data & Technology department where you will take the architecture lead in defining the transformation for Supply related to Data and Information architecture. In this assignment, a wide variety of problem statements, often stretching over the virtual boundaries of Data & Analytics (D&A), Data Integration & Distribution (DD&I) and Information Management (IM), are addressed. Typical assignments stretch from supporting tool assessment through architecture to in-depth discussions and recommendations around target architectures and roadmaps. You work closely with the D&I EA lead, together you form the conscience of Data & Information domain.

More specifically, in this role you will be accountable for:

  • Support the framing of all initiatives with a robust Data & Information architecture direction and fit.
  • Responsible for up-to-date architecture artefacts and data architecture patterns. Partnering with project teams to design, create and re-use the same.
  • Developing a network strengthening the foundational of a consistent data architecture across applications, integrations, and analytics.
  • Support the D&I lead to anchor our IKEA canonical data model. Together partner with Data & Analytics, as well as Integration teams to implement a decoupled data architecture, and a set of business APIs, independent of transactional systems.
  • Shared responsibility for the Data and Information Architecture roadmap.
  • You will work closely with the Data & Information Architecture Lead to lead towards uniformity and commonality, contributing to the D&I architecture framework and delivering on the needs of IKEA.

Qualifications

You are passionate in creating value through robust and effective data and information architecture and enjoy developing IKEA as a business by building relationships and networks. You will together with peers lead the framing and assessment of defined digital transformation areas, secure that we follow defined architecture principles and reach the business goals with the defined target architecture.

To be successful in this role we believe you have experience in working with architecture, information management frameworks and data analytics solutions. Probably you have been working with transformation from business intelligence into advanced analytic solution and have an interest in exploring how to automate the cognitive capabilities of the business. If you have experience in working with Microsoft Azure platforms for Business intelligence and Advanced analytics, it is to your advantage. You have had hands on experience in what it means to actually implement a robust Data and Information architecture framework in the context of global and constantly changing Application landscapes.

We expect you to have a very good knowledge of capturing business models and how they connect into strategies, digital and data needs and transformation plans where we expect you to have relevant experience and track record. You are analytical and have a particular eye for details, still being able to relate to the bigger context and find ways to reach business goals and secure that architecture targets are considered. You are effective in communicating, able to present relevant content, create trust and by that navigate and lead the business and people in a complex and fast-changing business and technology environment.

You are highly motivated to deliver results by guiding business through people and collaborate and interact with different stakeholders in a global context. You are working close to peers, business leaders and other stakeholders and used to define architecture that captures business opportunities and deliver results with a high sense of urgency.
